ATTENTION COLLECTORS! PRESENTING THE ULTIMATE MCDERMOTT CUE. RIGHT FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION, A BRAND NEW, DEAD MINT, PERFECT RATED 10/10, NEVER USED, NEVER CHALKED MCDERMOTT M8P4 PRESTIGE IV POOL CUE SERIAL NUMBER 1! Wow! How often do you get the chance to own Serial Number 1 of any cue model, not to mention the number 1 most expensive cue that McDermott makes?! The Prestige Series, consisting of 4 models, are the most expensive cues that McDermott makes. The Prestige IV is the best and most expensive of the Prestige line. Only 100 of each model were ever made. Each one has a 24K solid gold ring and medallion inlaid in it. Interestingly, these were made before the cost of gold skyrocketed, making these cues a real bargain! The Prestige IV is the most expensive of the 4 Prestige cues and lists for $3750. You can see it at http://www.mcdermottcue.com/Prestige4a.asp. The forearm is built with highly figured, very rare, premium Tiger Maple. It features a total of 6 points of Box Elder Burl. Four of the points have West African Ebony inlays, each with 4 Mother of Pearl dots and a Mother of Pearl notched diamond. The points are enclosed by West African Ebony and Mexican Bacote veneers. The sleeve is also made from Box Elder Burl and features the classic style of 4 West African Ebony windows enclosed by maple and ebony veneers. Each window has 2 Mother of Pearl dots and a Mother of Pearl notched diamond. Two sets of really cool index rings enclose the sleeve, made of Mexican Bacote, West African Ebony and 4 German brass rings. A solid 24K Gold ring and medallion highlight the sleeve of the cue and give it much of its value. The medallion indicates the year of introduction, 2006. This cue has 116 total inlays plus all the gold!! The wrap is top grain imported black lizard leather, and the shaft is Canadian hard rock maple with pro taper, Ivorine III ferrule, and 13mm Triangle tip. The joint is stainless steel Quick Release with 2 more sets of the really cool index rings and 4 German brass rings. It weighs 19.5 oz, but with McDermott's adjustable weight bolt system we can set it between 18 and 21. This cue weighs in at 19.5. This is probably the most collectible and desirable McDermott cue ever made you will ever see! It is brand new, in perfect condition, and would be the ultimate addition to any McDermott collection! IT'S SERIAL # 1!! The suggested retail on this cue is $3750, and that was before the price of gold went sky high and it didn't include a matching 2nd i-2 shaft or case. Because of the rarity of this cue being Serial Number 1 there is a Buy it Now Price, but please feel free to submit your bid early and often. Who knows?

Other facts about McDermott cues:
Only the finest grade materials are purchased which are inspected and tested for quality and tolerances before being used.
The wood to wood joint with surface contact delivers a natural feel and solid hit. Other joint options are available on other models.
Heavy gauged rolled stainless steel joint pin provides longer lasting thread life and rust resistance.
Three piece butt construction helps provide straightness for the lifetime of the cue. Stains are hand applied which provide accurate details and color consistency. Precision milling on rings and inlays mean tolerances to within .001 of an inch. The pieces are hand glued to ensure a perfect fit.
The buttcap is made of an impact resistant resin to aid in protection of the buttsleeve of the cue and is double-bonded by an interchangeable weight bolt system that allows you to adjust the weight.
Triangle treated leather tips provide better cue ball control, require less reshaping and are long lasting.
The high-impact and stable ferrule material is able to withstand the powerful break shots and normal play of the cue. The ferrule is glued and screwed onto a wood tenon that provides direct contact between the shaft and the tip that in turn provides a solid consistent hit.
Shafts are hand selected from North American hard rock maple and are carefully picked for straightness of grain, proper moisture content and white color. Shafts are turned four times to ensure stabilization and straightness.
Five coats of a high luster clear urethane finish top off a great looking cue and provide a scratch resistant finish.
